This Privacy Policy explains how Quasar (also referred to as "Quasar", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use our mobile and desktop applications, widgets, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
This policy is drafted for users in the European Union and is intended to align with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and related EU data-protection rules.
Protecting your privacy is important to us. By using Quasar, you agree to this Privacy Policy. This policy does not cover third-party websites, exchanges, blockchains, wallet providers, or app stores that have their own privacy notices.

2. Special Note on Crypto Data
Wallet addresses and on-chain transaction records can be personal data where they relate to an identifiable person. Quasar treats tracked wallet addresses and related blockchain history as personal data when required by law.
Quasar does not request or store private keys or seed phrases.
3. Why We Process Data and Legal Bases (GDPR)
We process personal data under one or more GDPR legal bases:
- Article 6(1)(b) Contract: to provide core Service functions you request (price tracking, wallet view, subscriptions).
- Article 6(1)(c) Legal obligation: to comply with legal duties (for example accounting, tax, lawful disclosure requests).
- Article 6(1)(f) Legitimate interests: to maintain security, prevent abuse/fraud, debug, improve reliability, and operate the Service.

If we rely on legitimate interests, we apply a balancing test and protect user rights. Drafting references for EU section: GDPR (EUR-Lex), Article 6 GDPR, Article 13 GDPR, Article 46 GDPR, Article 77 GDPR, European Commission SCC guidance
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Because Quasar is an app, we primarily use SDK/device-level identifiers and local storage rather than browser cookies. We may use analytics, diagnostics, and ad technologies provided by service partners. Where consent is legally required, we request/obtain it through available platform mechanisms.
5. Sharing of Personal Data
We may share personal data with:
- Infrastructure and analytics providers (for example Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring).

- Data providers and network endpoints required for market/wallet features.
- Professional advisors, auditors, insurers, and authorities when legally required.
- Successors in a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.
We do not sell personal data in exchange for money. Where possible, data is processed in aggregated and used to improve app performance and user experience.
6. International Data Transfers
Some recipients may process data outside the EU/EEA/UK/Switzerland. Where required, we use appropriate transfer safeguards, such as:
- Adequacy decisions.
- European Commission adequacy decisions.
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), supplementary measures.
- Other lawful transfer mechanisms under Chapter V GDPR.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes in this policy, including legal, accounting, and security needs. Typical retention approach:
- Wallet tracking data: until you remove the wallet from Quasar, plus limited backup/log retention.
- Diagnostics and analytics events: 12 months by default, unless needed longer for security or legal reasons.
- Subscription/accounting records: for legally required retention periods.
- Support correspondence: until resolution plus a reasonable archive period.
When retention is no longer necessary, we delete or anonymize data.
8. Security Measures
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls, least-privilege practices, transport encryption, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Quasar is not intended for children under 12. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 12. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
